Dr Anthony Chow, Consultant Cardiologist

Dr Anthony Chow is a Consultant Cardiologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at UCLH where he runs one of the busiest clinical cardiacRelating to the heart rhythm management and research departments in the UK. He specialises in heart rhythm disorders, heart failureFailure of the heart to pump adequately. and complex cardiac devices.

Dr Chow is currently involved with several arrhythmiaAn abnormal heart rhythm. and device research programmes and has published a book on these subjects, holding a number of British Heart Foundation and industry-funded research grants. His specialist clinical and research interests are cardiac electrophysiology and treatment of heart rhythm disorders, complex cardiac pacemakers and defibrillatorsDevices used for defibrillation, which involves giving a controlled electric shock to restore normal heart rhythm in cases of cardiac arrest. to prevent heart failure and sudden cardiac death. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.

Dr Chow sees patients privately in Berkshire and at the Wellington Hospital in North London.
