Pandelis Athanasias

Mr Pandelis Athanasias is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist based in London.

He practices in both the NHS (Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust) and the private sector (25 Harley Street Clinic, The Portland Hospital, Spire St Anthony's Hospital). He is also a Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's University of London.

Mr Athanasias is a leading specialist in the outpatient treatment of uterine polyps, fibroids and heavy menstrual bleeding with minimally invasive techniques and procedures under local anaesthesia. Office gynaecology procedures allow women to receive diagnosis and treatment in one appointment and return to their daily activities immediately.

Mr Athanasias completed his training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the London Deanery and subsequently developed special skills in minimally invasive surgery as a clinical fellow in advanced gynaecological endoscopy (Whittington Hospital, London). He has a special interest in clinical safety and is a member of risk management committees in both the NHS and the private sector (St Helier Hospital, St Anthony's Hospital).

He enjoys teaching medical students and junior doctors and was awarded a Teaching Excellence Award for NHS Teachers by St George's Medical School (2014/2015/2016).
