totalhealth launch series of consultant-led, therapeutic infographics for patients

A picture "can tell a thousand words", and in the same way infographics are a concise and user-friendly way of presenting medical information. In response to the increasing demand from patients for authoritative, accessible information, totalhealth.co.uk are releasing a series of consultant-led infographics that have been specially designed to get to the heart of each therapeutic area and to explain the most important facts.

Cutting through highly complex medical issues is often the main communication challenge for Consultants. For example, one area where there is often confusion surrounds the prevention, screening and treatment of cervical cancer. Commenting on the latest cervical cancer infographic Dr Adeola Olaitan, Consultant Gynaecologist at University College Hospital London said, "This is a nice and easy way to get complex and important messages across".

totalhealth’s Dave Pinnington, the creative force behind the infographics said, “The challenge is in working with the leading consultants in order to get to the essence of the communication, however, due to the quality of our editorial contributors it is not as difficult to present the facts as it might otherwise be”.

Feedback from patients has been very positive and it is apparent that they are already finding this new format useful. The latest totalhealth development is part of the ‘vision’ and commitment to provide people with authoritative, informative and engaging content.
