Richard Wolpert was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease at 13 and has lived with the affliction for the past 26 years. He wants to raise money for some causes which are important to him: the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America Camp Oasis, the Pediatric IBD program at Cedars Sinai Hospital, and the IBD Support Foundation. How's he going to do it? He plans to swim 80 miles across the ocean Gulf Stream from Florida to the Bahamas, spend several days swimming through and around the Bahamas before swimming back to the mainland USA.
