Call for a national Womb Cancer charity

Following Womb Cancer Awareness Month in September the organisers of the Womb Cancer Support Group have launched a petition asking for the Department of Health to set up a dedicated womb cancer charity.

Over 7500 cases of endometrial cancer are diagnosed in the UK each year making it the most common gynaecological cancer in the country. Despite its prevalence there is still not a Department of Health charity dedicated to the cause in the same way as charities such as Ovarian Cancer Action and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The members of the Womb Cancer Support Group have been tirelessly campaigning to raise awareness of endometrial cancer and the petition to set up a charity.
